Hi All,

Naresh here. I am a first time renter and I was wondering if anyone knows if there are any tax benefits I should be aware of as a renter or anything I should be doing that will help during the next tax season. Look forward to your responses.

My understanding is there are not too many tax benefits as a renter. One that I know from my accountant is since I am self employed and work out of the house I rent I can use that as a write off. I would ask an accountant for your specific situation if there are any benefits.
