I would suggest a few things. Take a look at the move in report and cross check the conditions listed there. Any small items like filling small holes in wall I would do that prior to move out inspection, replace light bulbs, etc. Small things like that can save you money and also shows to the landlord that you took care of the place. The biggest thing that most people don’t proactively do is send a letter to the landlord or their property manager a few weeks ahead of moving out to let them know a good mailing address for their security deposit return. I would definitely recommend doing this. Hope this helps!
